What I Wore Wednesday & A New Do!

Happy Wednesday Friends!!

I've learned a lot about blogging over the course of the last 2 years. One thing I've learned, is that it's important to write & blog about things that interest my readers as opposed to strictly writing about things that I want to write about all the time. Afterall, this blog has become what it is because of YOU ALL!!

I did a few "What I Wore" posts last year and got some really good feedback from you guys. Sometimes it seemed like I would get more feedback on those posts than I would with my regular day-to-day posts on DIY, decorating, etc. I even started to get emails regarding my hair & questions about fashion....none of which I ever felt qualified to answer! I still don't!

But, in an effort to blog about things that you guys want to read about, and because I like fashion just as much as the next girl, I decided I would incorporate more "What I Wore" posts into my blog in 2013. So, without further ado, here's what I've been wearing lately.....

I showed you all my navy chevron shirt that I purchased at Rue 21 a couple weeks ago. I mentioned in that post, that I liked the shirt so well, that I actually bought it in another color. Here is the green & black version below. I paired it with a pair of black leggings & my black boots and wore it to church a few Sundays ago.

Shirt: Rue 21
Black Boots: Target

This next outfit is one of my favorites to wear lately. It's kinda dressy, but really comfy at the same time! I bought the dress at TJ Maxx on clearance for just $14.99....love me a good bargain! :) I added a pair of brown tights & my brown boots to finish off the look. I wore this out with my hubby on New Years Eve & also wore it to church this past Sunday.

Dress: TJ Maxx
Tights: Kohls
Boots: Target
Necklace: I can't remember!

This next outfit is more typical of my day-to-day style. The sweatshirt is fun & different with the crochet/lace sleeves. I paired it with a pair of blue jeans, nude wedges, & a statement necklace in the same color.

Sweatshirt: Gordmans
Jeans: Victoria Secret
Wedges: Payless

If you've been following this blog for awhile, you know I'm kind of fickle when it comes to my hair! Sometimes I'm blonde, sometimes I'm brunette. Sometimes I wear it straight, other days I wear it curly. I have been wearing it the same length for quite sometime, but in recent months had been trying to grow it out a bit. Well, yesterday I had a hair appointment & decided that I had had my fill with the "long" hair. It just took so long to blow dry it every morning because it's so thick. And then,  I would have to style it, which took some time as well. I wanted something that would be quick & easy to take care of, so I opted for a short & sassy cut while visiting my stylist yesterday.

Textured Pixie Cut

Navy Top: Kohls
Scarf: Rue 21

What do you think?

I really love the way it turned out! And my most favorite part about it?!  It only took me about 10 minutes to fix it!  Now, that's what I'm talking about!

Who knows how long it will stay in this particular style, but for right now, I'm diggin' it!!

Are you indecisive like me when it comes to you hair? Please tell me I'm not alone!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!!

  6. LOVE the new hair!!!!! I am looking for a way to wear my hair that would only take 10 minutes (have 2 toddlers = no time for hair.) Sadly, with my hair texture I would never be able to have this cut.

  19. I thought your hair was pretty before but the cut is so sassy and cute! Love it. And so wish I was brave enough to do it! I've always had longish hair. For the most part...I have a few occasions I've cut it to my shoulders but never above that.
    Maybe one day!

  37. Love your hair! I recently cut mine short (not as short as yours, but mine was realllllly long and it's above my shoulders now) and it takes me forever to do it now. I have to wake up 30 minutes earlier. You're so lucky that yours only takes 10 minutes. lol

  38. Hi Tonya!
I just found your blog and remembered meeting you at Haven. I saw your cute face and thought "I remember her!" Love your new do! Your blog is great.

  39. Love the short and sassy cut! I too like quick hair styles but recently I have grown mine out a bit, some days I really like it and others it's just too time consuming. I mean why have it long when most days it ends up in a pony tail anyway right?
    Love your outfits too btw
