A friend of mine asked me to take some pictures of her daughter for her 1st birthday & I happily agreed! I love any excuse to get behind my camera! If you have been following this blog for a while, you may remember Little Miss Harper! I took some newborn photos of her when she was just a few weeks old! It's hard to believe she is already a year older!
She has grown so much & has turned into such a beautiful little girl.....
Yea, it's safe to say she is gonna break some hearts one of these days! Would you look at those GORGEOUS eyes?! Even though she is resting her chin on her daddy's shoulder, this is probably my favorite picture from the shoot!
Truth be told, Harper wasn't in the mood to get her pictures taken that day. She was teething, it was HOT, & it was close to nap-time! Even the shots I got of her alone, mom or dad were ALWAYS within arm's reach! She just didn't want to stray away from mom & dad too much......
Gotta good grip on mom's shirt here....making sure not to let go!

Even though she wasn't a fan of the balloons, we did managed to get of few pics of her with the balloons in the background. As long as they were out of her sight, she didn't mind too much!
After all, what's a 1st birthday shoot without balloons?!
About 30 minutes into the shoot....Girlfriend was D.O.N.E!
And this shot may be my 2nd Favorite!! :)
That's the thing about working with toddlers....they pretty much run the show & call the shots!! Gotta get what you can, when you can! Mom said all she wanted was one good picture....Well, I think we accomplished that!

I love the picture at the very top of the post! Harper's eyes look gorgeous!! I also think the one of her holding on to Amanda is sweet! I love that you can see she's holding onto Mama. Great job, friend!!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job - can't even imagine how hard it is to work with toddlers - I can't even get my 6 and 8 yr old to let me take pics of them most of the time. Every now and then my daughter turns into a major ham - but mostly - she runs when she sees me coming with my "big camera" as she calls it! ;) Happy Birthday to that sweetie - she does have the prettiest eyes!
