Stop & Smell The Roses...Week 9

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

I'm back today with another edition of Stop & Smell The Roses!!

Stop and Smell the Roses

This is actually week 9 of the link-up!! Can you believe we started vlogging 9 weeks ago?!
 Seems CRAZY, right?!

This week I had to film my vlog from my iPhone (which means no editing) and I have to forewarn you all...my hubby did not do a great job holding the phone still, so there is a little bit of camera shake going on!! My apologies! I didn't realize how much shaking there was until the video had already uploaded to YouTube & I just couldn't see re-shooting the whole thing! Too much work, ya know?!

So here I am, keepin' it real.....

Products mention: Ecotools The Everyday Collection 1256 Brushes & Case, 6ct.

Do you guys use brushes to put on your eye make-up?!

Please tell me I am not the ONLY ONE who was still using that little sponge applicator to put their eyeshadow on!!!  Ridiculous, I know!

  1. I love watching Emily's channel! Whenever I'm running out of a product I like to check out her favorites and try something new. And, I'm pretty sure I'm not putting on my eye makeup exactly correct (I use an eye make-up brush, my finger, and the brush that comes with the product), but I still need to do a little research on that to do it in a way I'm happy with. I've looked at those brushes before, but maybe I'll give them a try because your eye makeup looks gorgeous! :)

  2. I love Emily's channel! I had no idea she was your local news anchor- so neat! I have some of the Ecotools brushes and I really like them. They work just as well as my expensive MAC and Bare Minerals brushes so that's a huge plus and money savings :)

  3. Great video, and I promise, it wasn't that shaky!! I too use a few of the Ecotools brushes, and they work really well. Love that your husband helps you, I'm pretty sure my hubby would be laughing at me the whole time!! ;)

  4. I'm kinda obsessed with Emily's channel too! It's going to make my eye makeup tutorial look VERY beginner. Ha! Glad you went out and got some brushes! Just don't ever go to Sephora and look at their brushes because you may leave with EVERY single one.

  5. I haven't heard of Emily's channel (clearly living in England has put me so far out the loop it's unreal. Ha!) but I've subscribed to her now. I could always use a good makeup tutorial! Thanks girlie! :)

Also, I agree that makeup brushes make a WORLD of difference! I got an Estée Lauder set for Christmas 2 years ago from my Aunt and they're unbelievable. Use them every day :)

Another great vlog, Tonya! :) xoxo

  6. I was just posting on Amanda's blog and said that I needed some makeup tutorials! I am so going to check this out. And I have been using EcoTools for a couple years now and my brushes are STILL like new. I love them and will never own another set.

Nice vlog as always sweetie!! Still bummed I couldn't get one together, but next week's will be exciting for me. Yay! On to week 10!

  7. I will be looking into getting some eye makeup brushes. I need to get some new makeup as well. I have had mine for so long that I threw most of it out. Thanks for letting me know about Emily's channel. I liked whatching her on the news when I lived in Illinois.

  8. Up until about 3 months ago, I used those silly little sponge brushes too! If you are LOVING the eco-tools brushes... I'm going to have to pick them up! I have the silly Target ones. So glad you vlogged about this this week! I can't wait to try them out. Thanks for praying with me this week Tonya! Have a fabulous rest of your day, week, and soon-to-be weekend! :)

  9. I have two sizes of eye makeup brushes I use, a finer one on my lid and a thicker one more toward my brow. I use the ELF ones that are a $1 at Target. I use a big fat brush to put my powder on and I feel like that makes a huge difference. I see lots of people talking about washing their brushes but I've never done that.
