DIY Button Covered Monogram...

Hey Guys!!

How was your weekend?!

Ours was super busy & absolutely FLEW by!!

It's Monday, and AGAIN, I find myself trying to get caught up on blog stuff!

It's SO hard to keep up with this  blog when I go back to work at the end of each week. I know I only work 2 days a week & probably shouldn't be complaining, but seriously people, those of you who work full-time & manage to keep up your blogs...HATS OFF TO YOU!!

I don' t know how you do it!!

I wanted to share a quick & easy little project that my mom completed last week. She wanted to add a little monogram to her vignette in her living room & this is what she came up with.

I'm pretty sure she was inspired by several projects she had seen on Pinterest...

She started with this letter she bought at Hobby Lobby. I believe they are $1.99 a piece. We have used these letters for so many different projects, you would think I would have the price memorized!

She gave the "P" a couple of coats of a cream colored craft paint....

Then she went through her button stash & found all of the cream colored buttons she had on hand....
Next, she just started hot gluing all of the buttons to the letter.
You just continue that process until the letter is fully covered.

You may have spaces on the letter that you need smaller buttons for, but you may only have larger buttons on hand. If that is the case, you can layer or overlap the buttons to cover those smaller areas.

Here's a look at the finished product....
My mom just propped her letter up on a shelf in her living room, but you
could also hang it or even frame it if you want.
I love how the buttons reflect the light & give the monogram a little *SPARKLE*.

Here is a  better look at her living room as a whole...
She is still in the process of recovering some of the furniture in this room. She reupholstered the couch using drop cloths last fall/winter. I think she is going for a softer, more feminine look, in this room and
I think she is definitely accomplishing that!

What projects have you all been working on lately?!

I would LOVE to hear about them!!
