Hey Guys!
Yesterday I told you, that I would be sharing a video tutorial today on how to do the
wall stenciling that I did for my closet makeover!
This past weekend, I decided to help my friend Mandy, from House of Rose
with a little closet makeover of her own.
It took her a little while to convince me, but she finally managed! :)
Our twitter conversation went a little bit like this....
ME:
@houseofrose what all do you have in mind for your new closet?!
MANDY:
@lovefamandhome LOL! I have no idea! A do-over? Hehe!
So without further ado, here is our Stenciling Tutorial....

I want to know what I am getting myself into...
MANDY:
Come on...this is blog post material! I don't need to repaint, just stencil.
She had me at "blog post material." :)
I mean, I AM always looking for something to post about!!
And since so many of you had inquired about how to do the stenciling, I thought what better what to show you than to video the process?!
Big THANKS to Mandy for the vlog!
She & her hubby are pretty much vlog professionals, you can tell from this video & all of her awesome editing! She actually made me look pretty good!
I must tell you, I was feeling a little awkward behind the camera! I guess the
more vlogging I do, the more comfortable I'll get!!
Here are a few more pics of Mandy's closet....
For those of you who are interested, the stencil was purchased at Hobby Lobby.
You can find it HERE.
It is regularly $16.99, but don't forget about the 40% OFF COUPON that is available online
almost every week!
And for those of you who don't have a printer...
I just pull the coupon up on my phone & show it to the cashier....works every time!!
They just need to 4 digit coupon code!
Thanks for stopping by!
Now go get your STENCIL ON!!!!

Love it!! I've seriously been wanting to stencil ever since I saw your closet office, even bought some pretty stencils I found at Hobby Lobby on clearance a while back, but never went through with it. Now, I know what I would be doing! Great job, ladies!! :)
ReplyDeleteLvoe so many things about this post/vlog. First, you girls are way too cute! Great tutorial... lost of detailed info... love that you included the Hobby Lobby coupon... and LOVE some BBD!!! I know I said this before but I am SO doing this now!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great DIY! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteYou make that look so easy! I have always wondered about the "registration marks" and now I know how to use them!
ReplyDeleteTonya, I loved the video! You did such a fantastic job! I thought it was over, so I was working on posting it on my FB page, then out of nowhere, I hear this machine gun. I nearly jumped out of my chair. But, it was just the power drill at the end. You two had me laughing so hard! Made my day, and I learned a few things :)
ReplyDeleteThis was an awesome tutorial! I think I can actually do this. :)And Tonya, I am obsessed with your haircut - can you email me to tell me how you style it? Do you have natural wave in your hair (I do) so if you do, I'm wondering how you get the bangs so sleek? It is soooo cute on you. My email is julie.wilmoth@tx.rr.com when you have time to get back to me...I know you'll be busy with work the next few days so no hurry!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I love your blog!
I will admit that doing a full on stencil project is my biggest "to do" trial coming up! Thanks for this nice tut with pix

Oh Oh OH LOVE it! My closet is about the same size...I want to do this!!! The fabric on the jewelry board is my FAVE(I have a bolt of it and wasn't sure what to do w it) I am totally copy catting this. Thanks!! Great!
ReplyDeleteWOW! This looks amazing! Nice work! I've been wanting to start playing around with stencils in my house as well. You just gave me added inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the stenciling. Nice work. Looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteStenciling is a bit more difficult than putting a wall paper or plainly painting the wall, but I must say the result is magnificent. Stenciling makes a more fabulous result when it’s all done. I must say, it’s a perfect accent for home improvement, especially if you want to add a bit of artistry on your wall.
