For those of you who follow me on Facebook, you probably already know this...
For those of you who don't or who may have missed it, to my surprise this little ole blog was featured on our local morning news yesterday! I got a call from my grandma about mid-morning wanting to know if she could come over & visit with the boys, I of course, told her "yes" and then she nonchalantly told me about how she saw my blog on the news that morning (assuming that I knew about it.) I thought for sure she had been mistaken, but then she started telling me about all the pictures they showed (which were all from my recent posts) & I then started to believe her! I tweeted one of our local news anchors, Kevin Hunsperger, to verify & he told me she wasn't crazy & that I had indeed been featured! He then posted the video to the News Station's Facebook page for my viewing!
Needless to say...I was ecstatic!
The station is doing a series called "Blog of the Week" and its to spotlighted Southern Illinois Bloggers! I thought it was pretty cool that this little blog was chosen & later found out that one of my readers, Kasey Doerner (also a Southern Illinois girl), had actually nominated me!!
I asked Kevin if he could email me the video clip so that I could share it with all of you...
