Manual Mode...Working on my Photography Skills

I took this picture!!

Can you believe it?!

This is my youngest...isn't he handsome?!

I am just smitten with how great this pic turned out!
That little face just makes me melt!

So, I was up til 12:45am last night reading over the Meadowbrook Farm & Pioneer Woman blogs...trying to master this whole aperture, shutter speed thing! Wow...its complicated!! After reading over both sites, I then started taking pictures of all kinds of random things in the house! Like....anything I could find! I know if anyone drove past my house at midnight last night & looked through the window, they probably thought...

"What in the world is that woman doing?!"

So after a long night of random shooting...

Today I thought I would put my new learned skills to the test!
I'm so excited with how these pics turned out, but oh I still have so much to learn!

Just shows that if you do a little research & maybe even read the camera's owner manual (which I still have yet to do) that you can turn your average photos into something pretty fabulous!

Or at least I think they're fabulous...
Probably because I think he is pretty fabulous!! :)

Anyway, these two sites have some great photography tips if you are looking to improve your skills...
To check them out you can click here and here.

And even if your not looking to improve your skills just hop on over to their blogs anyway to
drool over their A-MAZING photos!!

  4. I'll trade you out. You show me how to work this silly camera like you do and I'll take you for rides in the bug. Maybe a day of riding around taking pictures of random things! Sounds good to me.
