I found a little something in my wreath yesterday...
How cute are these little Robin Eggs?
There is something seriously beautiful about that shade of blue...
especially in my pink floral wreath! :)
I will admit, at first, I was totally freaked because I am scared of the momma bird flying into my house when I open my door...but, I just can't bring myself to get rid of the nest!
Its just too cute!!
So for now...I will just be knocking on the door before opening it to make sure momma flies far, far away instead of into my living room!!
That's all I have for today...
Nothing too exciting I know!
Sorry about that!
Hope Everyone is having a Fabulous Friday and
I wish all of you mother's out there a very
Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

How sweet! My friend has a similar nest that appeared in her wreath on her front door as well, and the baby birdies are adorable! I have ugly baby pigeons in my pot of dirt on the deck... not as cute! (Seriously, they are ugly. I'll be posting about them soon haha!)
ReplyDeleteOh, and can I just say how smart those robins are?! So clever, not even having to finish the nest when it's nestled (pun not intended) up to the door like that. It looks like it got chopped off!
ReplyDeleteSame thing happened to me about 10 years ago, a robin built a nest right in my grapevine wreath on my front door. Funny, she didn't bother me but oh, when my son would come home she would fly right out and scare him to death:)
ReplyDeleteRondell
Oh my gosh! How sweet!
ReplyDeleteGotta love that bird. She just wanted a beautifuly decorated home for her family.
ReplyDeleteI have a pair of doves nesting in my large plant just outside my back door. I can just open it slowly to let the dogs out and she will sit right there and not move. But if you open it fast she heads for the dinner bell till you are out of site.
That is so pretty. My parents have a robin that tries to build a nest in their wreath too. She tries to catch her before she is really built it up and move it. They are so pretty though, those little eggs. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought I was the only one with a sweet little nest on my front porch : )
