Remember a few weeks back when I told you I was itching to number something in my house?
Well, I finally took care of that itch!
It wasn't anything big, but I did get the look I was going for & that is all that matters!!
I found these boxes out in our garage while digging through some old Christmas decor...
They were cute, but didn't match my decor anymore & I was either going to throw them away or sell them at a yard sale! Then I thought, why not just give them a little makeover & use them with your current decor?!?
So, that's what I did!!
Then about a week or so later, Shelley from House of Smiths & Wonderfully Wordy was running a fabulous deal on Groupdealz....
Numbered Vinyl Decals for $2 plus $1 for shipping!!!
Aren't they cute?!?
I didn't hesitate a second....
I snatched a set of them up for my boxes!!!
So after a few coats of paint & the numbered vinyl decals...
the boxes now look like this!!
I think they turned out pretty darn cute!!
And it was so easy & so cheap to do. I already had the paint & the boxes, so the only money I spent was on the vinyl decals....
and for $3...you can't beat that!!
After moving them to a billion different spots...I think they have found a home on my buffet table in my kitchen!
I really love this little breakfast nook & how its all coming along!
This has to be one of my most favorite spots in our home!
Where the boxes are now sitting, used to sit this cute little serving tray that I got at HomeGoods a couple months ago. It has been sitting bare on the buffet table, but now I think it may be sitting on my kitchen table from here on out!
I have been looking online for tutorials on how to make faux cupcakes & cookies to place on my serving tray and I think I have found a tutorial that I am gonna try....

Aren't these just darling?!?
I can't wait to make some!!
I found the tutorial on Crafty Avenue, but the post is courtesy of Emily at Sugar & Meringue. She makes some of the most gorgeous cookies that you've ever seen! You should head on over to her blog & check out all of the yummy goodness!
