A few weeks ago, I blogged about my youngest son's nursery and showed you this picture....
Needless to say....
the wall above the changing table definitely needed some help!
Just a little bare don't ya think?
Well...after a few successful trips to Hobby Lobby....
I am proud to say that this is what that wall looks like now!
First of all...I am loving this Route 66 picture my mom found for me!
Love the old license plates in the background!
And because all Wall Decor was 50%....it only cost $15.00!!!
Can I get a Woot Woot?!?
Love the distressing to the numbers too!
The metal signs on this side were all 50% off too...I got them for about $5 a piece.
Also got the shelf in the unfinished wood section of the store 50% off as well and painted it. The truck, gas pump and little sign all again fabulous finds at Hobby Lobby...all half off! Pretty much everything at Hobby Lobby goes half off at some point...so if you find something you like & its not on sale...
wait a week and chances are it will be!
The next issue I wanted to address was all of Griffin's toys...
He doesn't have a toy box in his room to store everything in, so I was in the market for a storage basket/bin of some sort...again, I went to Hobby Lobby!
They had tons of storage baskets & while I couldn't find anything that I really liked (in my price range),
my mom had an idea to make my own...
So she found this wooden storage bin...
And this Route 66 license plate....
I hot glued the license plate to the storage bin...
And now it looks like this....
And here it sits in his room, housing all of his toys!
Love it!!
The bin was $9.00 (half off) and the license plate was $5.00 (half off)...
So I now have a custom & unique storage solution for only $14.00!
Hope you are all having a wonderful Friday!!!
I'm sure many of you are going to be celebrating Valentine's Day this weekend since the holiday falls on Monday! Anybody have any fun & exciting plans?

I love all the Route 66 items. I'm jealous over all your great finds. There are only 2 HL's in MN and each are hours away from me in areas I don't really go. :(
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH that is the cutest!! My sons room has some cars like that in that I got at HL too. (He loves cars) I LOVE the sign, that is amazing, great find!!!!! What a cute boys room!! The license plate on the storage box is a great idea too, I just love!!! :)
ReplyDeleteTonya,
ReplyDeleteLove it. Looks so great! You are totally my inspiration!!! I was just in there the other day and could have bought a ton of stuff. I am getting ready to paint a navy stripe in Jackson's room (it's red) and they had some vintage looking baseball pictures that were not 50% off yet, so of course I am waiting, hoping they are next week for $15! I will post some pics when I get done with it.

So cute. Route 66 goes through my town and neat antque shops and one of my favorite places to eat is on it. Saw you at Thrift Decor Chick.
ReplyDeleteYou are one seriously crafty girl!! I mean, will you please come work your magic at my house? I LOVE the Route 66 theme too! Too cute!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute and creative!
ReplyDeleteHey! great to hear from you! Griffin's room is just adorable. Our little guys must be really close in age. Ben is about 4 1/2 months old. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and glad to have found you. :)

That is just so adorable. You done a fab decorating job! I seen all that stuff today at Hobby Lobby while I was there and it was 50% off. They had a huge red truck that you hung on the wall that was made out of metal. SO SO cute!
ReplyDeleteHi there, just stumbled across your blog. Amazing job!!

Was wondering if anyone knows where the crib bedding is from? I am doing my first grandsons nursery in the old garage/gas pump/route 66 theme and I am having the hardest time coordinating the bedding.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Sandra
