I LOVE our home, I really do!
It's the first home Bobby & I ever bought together and its the home we had our children in.
We have remodeled every last square inch of it & have even added on to make it our own

& stay here as long as possible.
We are actually in the middle of a small addition in our garage right now which will soon be the boys' playroom. Originally, we talked about using that space to make a home office, but after much thought & deliberation, and 100 toys later...I decided that space would be much better utilized as a playroom!
And as happy as I am with that decision I am still wanting (and needing) a home office space!

Oh how I would love a space like this to do crafts, scrapbooking,
and most of all BLOGGING! :)
But I had come to the realization that we just didn't have the space for a home office...
it would just be something that I would just have to wait for..
something I would get in our next (BIGGER) home...
Then while browsing the net for design ideas & inspiration I came across this....

I can still have a home office...
We have a coat closet in our living room that gets used for coats (of course), umbrellas, scarves, hats, gloves, etc. But I started thinking...all of those items could be stored in our
bedroom closets.
If I utilized the other closet space I had...I could use the coat closet space as my....

I love this!! Thanks for the info.. I had no idea about the linky party! I would love to have a "Closet office" cause when it's messy (as all craft rooms are) you can just shut the door! LOL I'm now following you!
ReplyDeleteA closet office doesn't just maximize a certain room, but it's also a great way of removing all the clutter inside your home. See all that mess? It will go away if you immediately start on your office space project. Good luck on this project!!!
ReplyDeleteSo do you have your own home office now? Which of these design ideas did you choose? A house is not complete without a little office space. It doesn't have to be too extravagant. Adding up a few accents can make your office an instant stunner!
